Human System Integration Technical Committee
Technical Committee Menu
The Human System Integration committee focuses on identifying and improving methods to integrate human concerns into the conceptualization and design of systems. The committee encourages research that leads to the early understanding of human roles and responsibilities in systems development. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, integration of human performance models, user-centered design, social technical systems, and agile development methodologies.
One of the goals of the committee is to improve communication between the human factors and engineering communities to provide better integration of human and systems and early resolution of issues based on human constraints and limitations. While there are success stories such as augmented reality interactive repair manuals, Xbox Kinect, and the use of digital twins by Tesla, significant research opportunities remain to mature HSI.
