The Systems Journal Best Paper Award of the IEEE Systems Council will be given annually to the paper(s) deemed the best among those published in the IEEE Systems Journal during the preceding calendar year. All papers published in the IEEE Systems Journal during 2024 are eligible for the award this year.
The Award Committee consists of the Editor-in-Chief, the Senior Associated Editors, and all Associate Editors of the IEEE Systems Journal, and is chaired by the journal EIC.
Nominations for this award are solicited by the Award Committee Chair from all members of the Committee. Multiple awards may be given each year, not exceeding 1% of the eligible papers as determined by the Award Committee Chair.
To nominate a paper, complete this webform including the complete title. Direct questions regarding the webform to the Operations Manager at admin@ieeesystemscouncil.org. Each member of the Award Committee may nominate one paper.
- Visit http://ieeexplore.ieee.org
- Select “Advanced search” right below the white search box.
- In the first search box of the advanced search page specify “1932-8184”, which is the ISSN of our journal: in the multiple-choice box after “in” select “ISSN”.
- At the bottom of the page, in the “Publication Year” section, select “Specify Year Range” and enter 2024 for both the beginning and the end.
- Then hit the “Search” orange button at the bottom of the page.
After nominations close, the Award Committee Chair will prepare a ballot consisting of all nominated papers and distribute the ballot to the Award Committee for voting. The selection process will take place in the first part of March; details of the process will be described on the ballot. The winner(s) will be announced in March or April.
Please provide the authors' names, emails, and demographic data (gender, IEEE region, and affiliation type - academia, government, industry, other). This information is required in order to contact those selected.
