Functions of a Systems Engineer in the Semiconductor Industry
Presentation Menu
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) is a global semiconductor design and manufacturing company that develops analog ICs and embedded processors operating with a passion to create a better world by making electronics more affordable through semiconductors. Engineering functions at TI offer exciting and challenging work and provide engineers ability to contribute great ideas to design technologies that will create a better world. In this talk, I am going to discuss the functions of Systems Engineering in the Semiconductor industry, key roles and responsibilities of a systems engineer, what it takes to differentiate oneself as a systems engineer and why it is one of the most critical functions in the semiconductor industry. Systems engineering role provides unparalleled opportunities to creatively define, build and develop best-in-class products, product roadmaps and strategies meeting customer and market requirements to strengthen a technology company’s position as a market leader for both established and emerging applications. I will talk about my path to Systems engineer at Texas Instruments and discuss why we need more women in systems engineering to create innovations that shape the future of technology.
