IEEE Systems Council Sponsors 2024 IEEE-HKN Student Leadership Conference
IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) is the honor society of IEEE, dedicated to fostering excellence in the fields of engineering and technology. The society emphasizes the values of Scholarship, Character, and Attitude, aiming to inspire its members to excel both in their professional endeavors and educational pursuits.
In 2024, the IEEE Systems Council proudly sponsored the IEEE-HKN Student Leadership Conference, an event that took place from November 15-17 in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The conference brought together bright students, professionals, and leaders from the IEEE community to collaborate, learn, and grow in their leadership and technical skills.
Representing the IEEE Systems Council at the conference were President-Elect Andy Chen and Young Professionals Chair Chamika Sudusinghe. Their presence at the event highlighted the Council's commitment to supporting student leadership and engaging with the next generation of engineers and technology professionals. The sponsorship of such conferences reflects the Council's ongoing dedication to fostering education and innovation within the IEEE community.
Founded on 28 October 1904, HKN promotes professional accomplishment, service to others, and leadership development for students and professionals in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and other IEEE fields of interest. With its merger in 2010 with IEEE, the honor society now has over 200,000+ members in more than 250 Chapters around the globe.
