Ethical Decision Quality: Building an Ethical Decision Culture in Systems Engineering Organizations

The impetus for this talk was the observation that decision-making, systems engineering, and ethics have often been treated as different topics. This observation impacts the ethical quality of decisions and the quality of ethical decisions. This talk will discuss how to (i) Assess the ethical quality of a decision using a framework I call Ethical Decision Quality, (ii) Explain how to Identify impediments to Ethical Decision Quality in an organization, (iii) Build an Ethical Decision Culture, and (iv) learn how to integrate ethical decision making and systems engineering.
