SYSC ODL: "Architecture Optimization for Sustainability" by Haifeng Zhu
Event Menu
Developing complex products suffers high overrun costs and significant delays more and more today, especially in the aerospace industry. One of the causes is early stage architecture design issues that result in a large amount of rework when facing changes in later stages that almost always happen in aerospace and defense domains. On the other hand, over design requires significant upfront costs that enterprises usually attempt to avoid. This lecture talks about how to achieve a sustainable architecture design. It is a major developed result in this area in recent years and is also being used in industry. The talk also covers design examples such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems.
