Veerpratap Meena (M’21, IEEE) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, India. He received his B.Tech. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Government. Engineering College, Bikaner, in 2018, followed by an M.Tech. in Power System Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2020. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, in 2023, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru, in 2024. Dr. Meena has been actively involved in IEEE, serving as the Chair of the IEEE Systems Council Systems Education Technical Committee, USA, since 2023. He also holds leadership roles in the IEEE Delhi Section and Rajasthan Subsection, including Chair of the IEEE Delhi Section-Rajasthan Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Chapter and the IEEE Systems Council Joint Section Chapter. His research focuses on Microgrids, Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, Optimization, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Smart Grids, Net-Zero Energy Grids, Electric Vehicles, Control Systems, Peer-to-Peer Energy trading, and Healthcare. He has published extensively in leading international journals and conferences. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE ACCESS, e-Prime: Advances in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy, Discover Applied Sciences, and other reputed journals. 

Meena is actively involved in organizing international IEEE conferences and technical events. He has served as General Chair, Program Chair, Special Session Organizer, and Technical Program Committee Member for several prestigious conferences. He has organized special sessions at renowned conferences, including IECON, ISIE, AUPEC, SGRE, ICIT, SYSCON, GPECOM, CPE-PowerEngg., and IAS Annual Meetings. As a keynote speaker, he has delivered expert
talks at various global conferences, sharing insights on advanced electrical engineering and smart energy systems topics. In 2024, Stanford University and Elsevier recognized him among the world’s top 2% of scientists for his research contributions. Dr. Meena continues to drive innovation through his research, academic leadership, and active participation in global scientific communities.
