Bruno Iafelice is the CEO of the TVLP Institute in Silicon Valley, a premier institution specializing in higher education and consulting in innovation and entrepreneurship. He serves on several boards across private and governmental organizations, including the Global Forum (France) and the Istituto Italiano Imprenditorialità (Italy), and contributes to publications in innovation including Forbes, and Wall Street Journal, to international conferences, professional meetings and judging panels.
He is an IEEE leader serving in multiple roles supporting entrepreneurship, new venture creation and industry relations including Chair of the Industry Committee of IEEE Systems Council, Chair of the Hard Tech Venture Summit – Silicon Valley of IEEE Entrepreneurship, Industry Liaison of the TC Education of IEEE Industrial Electronic Society (IES), and Industry Chair of the conferences Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA).
Dr. Iafelice was an associate at The Angels' Forum and the Helo Fund in Palo Alto, where he supported investments in high-tech ventures, and lectured for University of Bologna on technology and new venture creation. As an entrepreneur, he has founded companies in edutech, cloud computing, and electronics. As a life science and biotech scientist, he worked with the Fraunhofer Institute (Germany) and the Advanced Research Center ARCES (Italy).
Dr. Iafelice holds a PhD in Biosensors, degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna, and a Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship from Santa Clara University. He is an IEEE Senior Member and Fulbright alumnus.
