Chapter Spotlight: UK and Ireland Section
The IEEE System Council has 14 chapters around the world. If you are interested in creating a new Systems Council Chapter in your area, please follow the procedures outlined here: Creating a New IEEE Chapter. Please direct any questions to our VP Member Services, Marco Parvis.
The UK and Ireland Section of IEEE has over 10,000 members and is part of Region 8 which covers Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Section arranges keynote lectures and many other events throughout the UK and Ireland including those organized by the Chapters of IEEE Technical Societies. IEEE members living in the United Kingdom or Ireland are automatically members.
As a joint effort between the Systems Council and SIGHT committee, they have organized three COVID related talks in the UK and Ireland sessions as well as two talks for the Environmental Technology and Systemic Innovation Special Interest Groups of Systems Council.
The aim is for an active and dynamic chapter focused on the member value and dissemination of the state of the art in systems thinking and engineering. Please contact the SIGHT Chair, Ali Hessami with queries and suggestions.
