Linking Data and Models in Digital Engineering and Analytics
Presentation Menu
A key challenge of digital engineering is to understand how to manage sharing and collaboration across the lifecycle to ensure speed and efficiency in the conduct of work, regardless of the performer. Collaborative engineering work requires interoperability across both data and models. Data interoperability encompasses more than data exchange; it includes how we will make use of the data and work products. In this talk we will discuss how to set up and manage interoperable data and models using flexible ontologies and standards for linked data exchange conforming to World Wide Web standards. The presentation will include definitions and concepts for data interoperability, building domain and application ontologies, building the tool infrastructure to support these, and examples of modeling approaches.
