The IEEE Systems Council (SYSC) was honored to participate in MeditMaint 2025, a premier conference hosted by the Croatian Maintenance Society (HDO). This collaboration, made possible through an invitation from the IEEE Reliability Society (RS), furthered SYSC’s mission of expanding visibility in the maintenance, asset management, and facility management industries. The timing was ideal, following IEEE RS’s recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HDO—a strategic initiative aimed at fostering external partnerships in alignment with its 2025 Public Imperative goals.

A Landmark Event for the Maintenance Industry

Celebrating its 30th edition, MeditMaint 2025 drew industry professionals from across the globe to exchange insights, explore emerging trends, and develop innovative solutions for maintenance-related fields. Key organizations lending their support included:

  • Danube Adria Association for Automation & Manufacturing

  • Electromechanical Authority

  • European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS)

IEEE RS played a pivotal role by offering a shared exhibition booth, allowing SYSC to showcase its flagship events, including:

  • IEEE SYSC 20th Anniversary Celebrations

  • IEEE RASSE 2025 in Singapore

  • ISSE 2025 in Paris

  • ISSE 2026 in Dubrovnik, Croatia

Thought Leadership & Strategic Collaboration

A highlight of the conference was a keynote address delivered by Dr. Steven Li, Past President of IEEE RS, who captivated attendees with his expertise in reliability and systems integration. Additionally, SYSC engaged in meaningful discussions with organizations such as the Moroccan Association of Asset Management, Reliability & Maintenance and EFNMS, laying the foundation for future collaborations that will strengthen global ties and support major events in 2025 and 2026.

Looking Ahead

MeditMaint 2025 proved to be an invaluable opportunity to elevate IEEE SYSC’s presence within the industry while forging impactful partnerships. Moving forward, SYSC will:

  1. Strengthen collaboration with newly engaged organizations to drive joint initiatives.

  2. Apply key insights from the conference to enhance planning for IEEE ISSE 2026 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

  3. Continue working alongside IEEE RS and HDO to maximize shared opportunities for growth.

A Special Thank You

IEEE SYSC extends sincere gratitude to IEEE RS for their generosity and support throughout the event. Their commitment to fostering collaboration was instrumental in amplifying SYSC’s impact at MeditMaint 2025. This partnership underscores the power of cooperation within IEEE membership societies and sets the stage for future joint successes.
