Call for 2026 Award Nominations

Nominations for the annual IEEE Systems Council Awards are now open. The deadline for all nominations is 31 January 2026.

IEEE Systems Council Outstanding Service Award

• To honor long and distinguished service to the IEEE Systems Council at a level of dedication and achievement rarely demonstrated.
• Prize: $1,000 USD and a plaque

IEEE Systems Council Chapter of the Year

• To recognize one Systems Council Chapter for significant activity and service to its members.
• Prize: $1,000 USD and a Certificate. In addition, up to $1,000 USD to attend the award ceremony at a Systems Council-sponsored conference can be authorized by the Systems Council President.

IEEE Systems Council Student Branch Chapter of the Year

• To recognize a Systems Council Student Branch Chapter for significant activity and service to its members.
• Prize: $1,000 USD and a Certificate. In addition, up to $1,000 USD to attend the award ceremony at a Systems Council-sponsored conference can be authorized by the Systems Council President.

IEEE Systems Journal Best Paper Award

• The IEEE Systems Journal Best Paper Award of the IEEE Systems Council will be given annually to the papers deemed the best among those published in the IEEE Systems Journal during the preceding calendar year.
• Prize: The prize items for each best paper include a certificate presented to each author and 500 USD to be shared among the authors.
