Qusi Alqarqaz came from an ancient place, born in Jordan, a country that captivated people for centuries with its history of Ammon, Moab, Edom, and Nabataeans civilizations and was once part of the Roman Empire. The country with many majestic cities continues to inspire him to write about history. The IEEE senior member was raised by a father who was a writer too. His father Mahmoud A. Alqarqaz wrote two books about education management in 1988 and the profession of teaching in 1996 to share the depths of his profession in brief lines and in an easy way for the reader to share the summary of his experience and knowledge. Qusi Alqarqaz is an electrical engineer, engineering manager, and consultant with more than 33 years of experience in the electric power industry and in the analysis and performance improvement initiatives involving electric utilities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and earned certificates and continuing education degrees. The IEEE senior member is a contributor to IEEE Spectrum and The Institute as well as serves on The Institute’s Editorial Advisory Board.
