T. Hui Teo earned his Master of Engineering and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University in 2000 and 2009, respectively. Currently, he takes care of the Electrical Power Systems Laboratory and Electronic Systems Design Laboratory at the Singapore University of Technology & Design (SUTD), Singapore. 

He chaired the Engineering Education and Capacity Building Workgroup in the ASEAN Federation of Engineers Organization (AFEO) (2020– 2023). He served as Vice President for The Institute of Engneers Singapore (IES) (2021-2023). He is Co-Conveyor for the Household Safety Appliance Working Group for the standardization technical committee (IEC mirror TC in Singapore). He chairs various international conferences, including IEEE Multicore/Many-core Systems-OnChip (MCSoC) 2023/2024/2025, IEEE Recent Advanced System Sciences and Engineering (RASSE) 2025, IEEE International Symposium onParallel Computing and Distributed Systems (PCDS) 2023/2024/2025. 

He served as secretary and treasurer for IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Singapore Chapter (2018-2021). He serves as a committee member/ chair for IEEE Industry Applications Society/Power Electronics Society Joint Chapter (Singapore Chapter) (2021-2025). He has been honored with several awards throughout his career, including the SUTD Best Teaching Award 2017, EnterpriseSG-SSC / SAC Commendation Award 2022, Singapore National Day Award (NDA) 2022 Commendation Award, and others. He is a fellow of The Institute of Engineers Singapore (FIES). 

He was a visiting scientist/professor at Technical University of Munich (TUM), German, and also at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
