Mahnoor hails from Pakistan. She became interested in engineering when she was 15 years old and chose a conventional engineering field, Electrical Power Engineering, for undergraduate study when she was 18. In 2015, she joined IEEE Bahauddin Zakariya University Student Branch as a volunteer and helped organized many technical and promotional activities. In 2017, she was elected chairperson at IEEE WIE Bahauddin Zakariya University Student Branch and had an outstanding tenure. She graduated from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan with 3.80/4.00 CGPA. During her tenure at IEEE WIE Bahauddin Zakariya Student Branch, she met many young professionals and mentors working in emerging engineering fields. She developed an interest in robotics and plant automation during her last year of undergraduate study and decided to pursue her graduate study in Industrial Automation.  She is currently a graduate student of mechatronics and control engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. She will research on possible cost‐effective and efficient automation methods as compared to present expensive automation methods in Pakistan. Her vision is to make the local industry as efficient as the international industry so that local products can compete against international standards.
