Dr. Emna Amri holds a PhD in computer science and works as an AI researcher and consultant based in France. She specializes in machine learning and computer vision, applying deep learning to real world environmental and industrial challenges such as offshore oil slick detection, waste management, and plant detection. Her work bridges academia and industry, with over ten publications across journals, books, and conferences. A dedicated educator, she teaches and mentors students worldwide, and volunteers as a mentor with Télémaque in France and with IEEE globally. As former Chair of IEEE Region 8 WIE, she led the region to a key milestone, growing WIE membership past 11,000 and bringing WIE to nine new countries. In 2025, she chaired the first IEEE International Leadership Summit in Paris.

She serves as YP Chair of the IEEE France Section and is an active member of IEEE WIE and the Computer Society globally.
