Alfredo Goldman holds a PhD from INPG, Grenoble. Currently, he is an associate professor at USP. He is subject area editor of Parallel Computing. He was the track co-chair of EuroPar 17 and 21, IEEE SCC 20, CARLA 22, CCGRID 25&26, CLUSTER 26, and ACM SAC 25&26. He is co-PC chair of ACM HPDC 26. He was co-program chair for workshops on SC 23 and XP 24. His main research interests are parallel and distributed computing, scheduling, and agile methods. He is on the board of governors of the Brazilian Computer Society (2019-25) and IEEE CS (2015-17). He is a senior member of ACM and IEEE.
He is currently the TCPP chair and TAC - Vice chair of IEEE CS. He coordinates a FAPESP thematic project on High-Performance Computing. He coordinates the computer science pillar of the International Research Center USP-CNRS.
