Every year in June, the organizations which evaluate the performance of various publications announce their findings. This year I am thrilled to report that, according to the Web of Science, the IEEE Systems Journal's Impact Factor (one of the most important performance measures) climbed from 3.931 to 4.802, thus representing a very significant jump within just one year. This major achievement is the result of many people’s unwavering efforts, in addition to the IEEE Systems Council leadership’s “behind the scenes” support. I want to thank each one of the authors for their innovative contributions, every reviewer for consistently maintaining such high-quality reviews, and the entire Editorial Board for its commitment to the publication. I am greatly indebted to all for their hard work and dedication. Additionally, Dr. Stephen (Jack) Dyer, IEEE Systems Council President, asked me to convey his thanks to the Editorial Board and the IEEE Systems Journal’s body of authors. Likewise, Dr. Paolo Carbone, IEEE Systems Council VP Publications, also wished to congratulate all the contributors on this outstanding achievement.
