Biography

Bernard Fong received his Bachelor's degree in electronics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in health information systems from the University of New South Wales in 1993 and 2005, respectively. He is currently with Auckland University of Technology and is a co-founder of Bespoke Assistive Care Solutions in New Zealand. He was previously an associate professor with Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Chair Professor at Guangdong University of Technology, and has managed the Prognostics and Health Management Center at City University of Hong Kong. He currently serves as a Series Editor for IEEE Communications Magazine, and Associate Editor for the Archives of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care, the Journal of Advances in Information Technology, Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Management, the Smart Cities journal, and IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, and Executive Editor of IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine. He is currently the Chair of the System Biology and Biomedical Systems Technical Committee under the IEEE Systems Council.
