2021 International Symposium on Systems Engineering
Update 14 July 2021
The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. IEEE has been monitoring the developing COVID-19 pandemic (Coronavirus).
The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 (Coronavirus) to be a pandemic, many governments have enacted travel bans and numerous state and local governments are prohibiting large or even moderately-sized public gatherings. Such bans on travel and public gatherings are likely to increase in number and scope in the coming weeks.
After studying and evaluating the announcements, guidance, and news released by relevant national departments, we are sorry to announce that the in-person gathering of IEEE ISSE 2021, scheduled to be held September 13-15, 2020 in Vienna, Austria has been canceled.
IEEE ISSE 2021 will now be held as a virtual conference, to be held September 13 – October 13, 2021.
We will be offering virtual presentations by all of our ISSE 2021 authors and plenary speakers. The papers of all approved authors will be sent to IEEE with the intent to publish in the IEEE XPLORE Library, and the presentations of all who present virtually will be available on the conference website.
We believe that going to a virtual conference for this year will give our loyal authors and attendees the opportunity to still present your excellent work and have your work submitted to IEEE for publication in Xplore AND to deliver your paper to an audience via recorded video presentation, thereby offering a similar experience to actually having attended in person.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and please contact Shelby Lussier ([email protected]) with any questions you may have.
This symposium seeks to create an interactive forum for the advancement of the practice of systems engineering across the multiple disciplines and specialty areas associated with the engineering of complex systems. The symposium will provide a venue for systems engineering practitioners, managers, researchers, and educators to exchange innovative concepts, ideas, applications and lessons learned addressing:
- Applications-oriented topics on large-scale systems and systems-of-systems in topics
- Systems engineering, education, standards, processes and methodologies for the system-of systems environment
- Research opportunities and results relating to systems-of-systems
